The Public Information Office of the State Center Community College District is responsible for the marketing, public, media, legislative and community relations for the District. The District is committed to providing extensive information regarding its programs and services.
The State Center Community College District currently serves more than 26,000 students on its many campuses. Since its formation on July 1, 1964, the District has continued to offer students quality educational programs at an affordable cost.
The District serves a population area in excess of one million residents and is headquartered adjacent to the Fresno City College campus in central Fresno. The District operates two community colleges, Fresno City College and Reedley College. Also part of the District are SCCCD Madera Center, Clovis Center, Oakhurst Center and the Career & Technology Center in southwest Fresno. Classes are also offered at additional satellite campuses in Kerman, Selma, Sanger and Easton.
The responsibilities of the Public Information Office are divided among four different locations: Fresno City College, Reedley College, the North Centers and the District Office. Each campus location is responsible for their own marketing and public relations.
The District's Public Information Officer, Dr. Teresa Patterson , is responsible for District, Board, Legislative and Chancellor issues.
