
Isabel Barreras
Secretary
Isabel Barreras was elected to the Board of Trustees in November of 2002 and represents Area 1. Her current term of office is until 2010. She is an Outreach Consultant for Madera South High School. Secretary Barreras attended the Madera Community College Center and transferred to California State University, Fresno where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in 2002. She earned a Masters in Public Administration from National University in 2008.
Secretary Barreras is the President of the California Latino Association of Community College Trustees (CALCCT) and serves on the Board of Directors for the California Community College Trustees (CCCT). She was appointed in 2003 by Governor Gray Davis to the Madera 21-A District Fair Board of Directors. She is past Vice President of the Madera Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a mentor for the Puente Program at Fresno City College.
