State Center Community College District will hold a public hearing on January 12, 2010, to review and discuss proposed changes to the District’s trustee area boundaries. The public hearing will be conducted as part of the District’s regular board meeting, which begins at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at 1525 E. Weldon Ave., Fresno.
Each of the District’s trustees is required to live in a defined trustee area. The District has begun the process of changing its electoral system from a system in which trustees live in defined areas but are elected by the voters of the District at-large to a system where they are elected only by the voters of their trustee area. Adjusting trustee area boundaries is part of that process. Public comment is welcome.
